What to expect
- A reply from a person, usually within a few days. If something has gone quiet for more than a week, send it again. It got lost, we did not ignore you.
- Straight answers about moderation decisions, including the ones you disagree with. Every removal is written down and we will tell you what the record says about your own content.
- No automated ticket replies, no chatbot, and no invitation to fill in a form to talk to us.
- If your message is urgent and involves somebody's safety, put URGENT in the subject line and say why in the first sentence.
Copyright notices: the designated agent
MySailingStories responds to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. section 512. The full procedure, including exactly what a notice must contain, what happens after we receive one, how to file a counter-notification, and our repeat infringer policy, is section 9 of the Terms of Service.

A notice must include the six elements listed in section 9.2 of the Terms: a signature, identification of the work, identification of the material and where to find it, your contact details, a good faith belief statement, and a statement of accuracy made under penalty of perjury. A URL to the exact page is the single most useful thing you can include.
